Hi I have been using Ex pat shield for over a year now with no real adverse effects, You may get other replies for and against it, but for me it works, for the times I want to be stuck in front of the TV, Like everything else with these things you just have to be careful Have you also looked at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Bill

We use Bulsatcom satellite in all of our places and have no complaints about it. In really bad weather ie. thunderstorms we might have an outage for a couple of minutes on some channels, buts that's all. I'm not a telly freak but do enjoy 'Midsomer murders' from time to time..mostly the kids watching Discovery, Animal Planet and the like. CNN works well and if I wanted to pay a little extra each month I could have the BBC too.

Hi their website is pretty basic, I have to admit. When we first hooked up with them two years or so ago, we had access to about 100 channels to try out for the first month at no extra cost..after that time was up we just reverted to a basic plan and so lost BBC and a few others like HBO etc. In our region, Bulsatcom took over from ITV Partners when they closed down..in fact I still have all ITV's gear here [dish, box, cables etc] as no-one ever came to collect them. It's possible that Bulsat also took over ITV's programing as well, but I don't really know. Hope this helps.

Bulsatcom have BBC??? When did this happen? I used to have the now defunct BBC Prime which needed its own satellite dish and box and cost £97 per year. Asked Bulsatcom for it but did nothing. I now have a sling box through the internet. My family have a TV connected to the box in UK with Freeview which is streamed through my laptop.

Apparently there was an overlap with programming when ITV went bust and Bulsatcom took them over down our way..I don't use them for the BBC any more because they wanted more money each month, so I use Filmon instead.
