On July 8 (Sunday) Axl Rose and company will embark on the stage of Bulgarian Army Stadium for their first concert in Bulgaria as one of the headliners of Sofia Rocks 2012. At the invitation of Balkan Entertainment, Guns N 'Roses will delight thousands of fans at home within the two-day festival, whose performances will include more rock fans loved names that did not have concert in Bulgaria so far.

The band's world tour on the occasion of their last album "
Chinese Democracy"
goes to great success so far. Guns N 'Roses ended the year with a series of sold out concerts in the U.S. and Canada. During the tour they had a concert for more than 30 000 people in Bucharest, Romania.
Guns N'Roses band was founded in Los Angeles, California in 1985. The best-selling album is "
Appetite for Destruction"
, which reached a stunning figure of 38 million copies sold worldwide. After 1993 the band quits while in 2008 is not a return of the rock scene with the album "
Chinese Democracy"
.
This lineup includes - Axl Rose - emblematic singer of Guns N'Roses, who stands behind the piano, Dj Ashba - attractive and very talented guitarist, Tommy Stinson - bass guitar and backing vocals, Dizzy Reed - keyboards, piano, synthesizer and backing vocals , Ron "

They were quite good in their day, but to be honest, now that Axl Rose is the only member of the original band, they are no longer anything like the group they were.

Maybe they should have called themselves the 'Axl Rose Band' or something?

Still, in my experience, it's always a reasonable show and worth a ticket if you're in Sofia.

Yes your spot on Chris they aren't the same anymore not that there is only 1 original, but still worth a look if your in Sofia as stated by Chris.

I should be there all being well and I agree the old days were better but its always good to listen the classics they will plat.

Macboyuk put Mindya Rockfest August 24 and 25 in your diary. This is a two day event which is FREE and it will be the 4th year. Last year over 2,000 people attended and were entertained by well-known Bulgarian rock bands headed by Vasko the Patch and Evgenii Dainov's Magistri and Blues Traffic. Check out the websites for them and Mindya Rockfest. Its a small village with big ideas and everyone has a good time with camping allowed, beer tents and stalls. Vasko has a regular TV slot and you could join the Celo Mindya Group on Facebook for all village information plus the Mindya Rockfest Group on FB for all news, videos and pics that folk post.
