An interesting article in todays Mail on Sunday which reports on the "
Post Office Holiday Costs Barometer 2012"
which compares various 'holiday' costs (cup of coffee, bottle of beer, meal out with wine, etc.).

I won't go into all the individual costs, but Bulgaria came out first with a total cost for all the items listed of £37.58.

The same items cost:
Turkey £48.45
Spain £51.89
France £58.21
Greece £58.66
USA £62.27

So, whilst Bulgaria has come in for a fair amount of criticism of late, the Mail rightly report that your holiday spending money still goes further here than most other popular destinations.

And, to be honest, any positive publicity about Bulgaria has got to be good for all of us that have invested in property there.

Well that's good news for Bulgaria for a change and to those who moan about their holidays. Everywhere is now expensive and really cheapie holidays anywhere a thing of the past. Maybe it will keep the hooligans away too. Hope people's rentals perk up with this news. g
