First topic message reminder :

Black about half an inch long and hop like a grass hopper.
We have had two in our house. I do not like the look of them, they also have what looks like pincers on the rear end. Both are now dead with the Raid spray. Do you know what they are?

Be aware at this time of year for the Black and Orange centipede. It is dangerous and can leave a nasty bite. We have just destroyed what think was a male as it was the biggest one we have ever seen about 10 inches long and quite fat. Kaufland sells long handled pincers which are ideal for picking them up (very much at arms reach). Do not let them go as they will only return kill them by squashing them.

If you get bitten seek medical advice.

Hope this web page explains a little as well

Oh I am fed up with these bugs now, I have no idea where they are coming from. We have mozzie nets on all the windows and doors and the baclony is enclosed and all gaps filled yet the little critters still get in. I have used pestaside sprays, fly sprays, vinigar and water and anything else suggested. Pulled every cupboard, drawer out and checked every corner as well as sparyed it. The ceilings have plastic covering, polysteyrene, plasterbaord and a heavy artext wallpaper so they cannot be coming thorough there. We also covered the walls with polysteryne and lining paper, yet they are still getting in. They smell awful if they are treathened. the last straw was when one landed on my face whist in bed I brused it off but had to go wash my face and hand as the smell was awful. I spray the rooms every afternoon but still find at lease one every day. What are they and how can I get rid of them. Angry T

The might be coming in on your clothing as you come and go...these little buggers can fly, so they can be pretty quick!

We get them too, but not so often in the house.
