Online marketing is growing in Bulgaria
Internet users in Bulgaria that shop online have doubled. This is the latest data from Eurostat, whereby 5% of Bulgarians use online stores. At the beginning of the year, only 3% of Bulgarians have benefited from such services, making us one of the last allotment sites in Europe. Despite progress, however, Bulgaria continues to be at the bottom of the rankings for the European Union. Under the country's only Romania, where only 2% of users shopping online. The average figure for the whole EU is 40%, yet statistics show.
Forecast
Bulgarian Association of e-commerce predicted at the beginning of the year that Internet marketing will continue to grow despite the effects of recession on online marketing. In 2008 growth in turnover for online retailers was between 20 and 30%, comment from the association.
