We have been without repeats now for 15 days Last week we went into Bulshite in Shumen and we were told Thursday. Day came no rabotniks. GSM rings friday evening , I answerd twice to somebody saying in a BG accent " allo, allo" . Obviously did not want to speak to a woman. We went into Shumen today to be told " Monday" WTF :Headbang:CUSTOMER SERVICE? :Very funny 2:Cannot understand why the office has glass bullet proof screens now? or maybe we can :Girl Nuke:

For Bulsatcom users near Yambol.... There are 2 offices in Yambol - One down a side street by the police station - absolutely useless, incredibly unhelpful, abrupt and miserable. Opposite the bus station, (at the bazaar) in the booking office and waiting room is another office. They have 2 ladies who work there, one is on loan from the afore mentioned office, I am sure!! The other is a pleasure to deal with (yes, someone who has an appreciation of customer service) She usually works on Mondays - so I always try to go in or call then if I need any assistance!! I have just switched to HD and have had problems with receiving the HD channels. I called the first time and got " Mrs grumpy" who told me I had to take the receiver in for testing. Not happy with this, I called again on Monday and got " Mrs helpful" who is sending an engineer out this week. So fingers crossed I will have all my TV channels soon. It is not just this incident, when I go into the office " Mrs grumpy" just has the standard Bulgarian " can't really be bothered" attitude whereas " Mrs helpful" is completely the opposite. It just depends on the person as to what customer service you get, I think this applies to everywhere in Bulgaria.

Here in VT the lady in the office which was next to Vali Computers was always helpful and always remembered me. I pay for a year and get 2 or 3 free months. However, last time I went to this office it was taped up and closed with directions to a new office in another side street on the way to old town. There are a couple of desks and no helpful lady there but a disinterested younger version. I needed a new satellite dish and connection as we had 'helpfully' left the old one at our house for the new owners with almost a year's subscription on it!!!!! I struggled to explain that we now wanted a new system and was told that we would get a call from the engineers in two weeks. We did get the call after nearly 3 weeks and it was successfully installed with new HD box (although I hadn't asked for it) and so far have had no problems. I was surprised at how long it took to get installation as years ago it was put in in a couple of days. Seems all the Bulgarians now have it. I had to do all the ordering in Bulgarian and its only now I understand the way it all works. The engineers plan the day's installations on the computer from details which the shop girl has put in so everyone gets put on a list. They work through this and having watched them on one of my visits, I would guess they do about 10 a day. They telephone when they are coming but again, its all in Bulgarian. I was impressed that between us all we managed to communicate and get it done. I am wondering if the guys and girls are a bit worried when an English person comes into the shop or answers the phone which is understandable. So once again, I have to say it pays to learn enough of the language to explain your needs!

I8f you have a bulsat dish set up, switch on tv and decoder, press menu on the remote, scroll down to utilities, press that then press signal strength,it will show if you have a signal and how strong. If you don,t most or all of BG is covered by bulsat.. We live 20kms from Shumen and we have it (at last) no comment Oddie!! Thankyou

Better still, just look around the village for dishes. Ask if you can have a look, make yourself at home for a few hours, out will come the rakia and a jar of mystery bless em
