Hi folks, I'm new here, from Germany, and my first question referres for a special sort of Rakija, I bought more than 15 years ago in a village nearby Berkovitsa. I'm not sure, if the same trademark and sort still exists. As far as I remember the bottle has been similar to that of "
Търговище"
[Targovishte] (see the pic below), but it had been labelled just as "
Отлежала Гроздова Ракия"
[Otlezhala Grozdova Rakiya]. I don't know if there existed many different brands that time. Maybe someone can help me at least finding a similar "
high quality grape brandy aged in oak casks for several months, golden colored"
? And maybe even available in Germany?

Thanks a lot, scott :) Yes, maybe I should simply try Търговище. But my experience with Bulgarian cheese made me some careful. I never found here such a quality as I got in Bulgaria.
