Robben Ford and Contino in Jazz on Wheels music festival

American blues, jazz and rock guitarist Robben Ford, long-standing partner of Miles Davis, will kick off the American Jazz on Wheels music festival in front of NDK on September 26.

Ford will also perform in Plovdiv and Varna and conduct master classes with students in each city.

The most sought-after musicians in Las Vegas from the band Contino will also take you through your paces with their dance beats.

The ever-popular British film star and longtime Sofia resident Ben Cross will also feature in a warm-up act, accompanied by jazz musician Misho Yossifov and his sextet.

Following the concert on September 26 the roadshow will travel to Plovdiv for a performance in the city's central square on September 28. The final performance will be in Varna at the Pantheon in the sea garden on September 30.

As ell as the concerts, musicians will perform jam sessions in some of the cities' most popular music clubs followed by master classes with music students. .

The America for Bulgaria Foundation is the main organiser and sponsor of this event which, it is hoped, will become a regular feature across Bulgarian cities.

All three concerts will be free.
