Bulgarian Resort Sunny Beach Demands British Police Officers for 2012



Bulgaria's popular southern Black Sea resort of Sunny Beach wants British police officers to patrol it during the next tourist season.

"
We are sure this would be a fairly effective way of collaboration, because it would improve the tourists' security. It would create some respect in our foreign guests who break and demolish things, create conflicts and offend police officers,"
Georgi Nedelchev, chair of the Sunny Beach hotel owners' union, said.

Nedelchev was positive that the police force located at the resort cannot handle all issues created within it, having in mind that as many as 400 000 tourist flock there during the season's peak, Nikolchev has pointed out, as cited by the Cross news agency.

Nikolchev has met and discussed the issue with Detective Superintendent Neville Blackwood, a Police Adviser with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

The number of police officers needed on Bulgarian soil has to be determined, Blackwood has said. He has pointed out that the British police has been working very actively across UK resorts.

With all the cut backs i dont think we have enough Policemen to patrol Britist streets , its a great same people cant just go out and enjoy themselfs even whist on Holidays .

We have police walking around all the estates now just stopping and chatting with people. It gives a good community feeling and the youngsters really enjoy talking with them and you would not believe how many children want to grow up to be policemen and policewomen - A positive move for our chiefs here

Would be great to meet up one day Berni and Dougie and am sure one day we will ,hope your both keeping well ?
Joe and Ben are not coming Ben as School ,Joe as College and its the only time we could go , but they have both been away this year.
Glad the extra Policeing is working you cant beat the Bobbty on the beat , down our way the kids all want to grow up to be Gangesrs and Glamour models but behind there bravado and considering there up bringing they are generally great kids .
What ever country the Police come form you will always get the' Brit abroad syndrome' a tag hopefully one day we will lose
