| The fine will be 100 leva according to my rough calculation. Good idea and about time. Maybe the next one will be the use of mobile phones. The Bulgarians are so blatant with it. Don't even stop when they see the police |

Let's hope they never take the Euro on, the Euro may be finished before 2014 and that will save BG from the currency. : : : : |

| The article that I read said it was a 50 lev fine. When I translated it with google translate it then became 50 euro. | I've just looked at Ashley's original post and found it and yes your right it does translate to Euro
Original

| Good job, and hopefully it will start to change peoples attitudes towards in car safety.
As far as i am aware, it is currently only compulsory to wear seat belts in the front seats ?
We were stopped last year and the driver wasn't wearing his seatbelt, he got 50 leva fine and 5 points on his license.
They really need to bring in legislation for children being carried in cars, it makes me cringe every time i see little ones sat on laps, stood up looking out the rear window or just swinging between the front seats, are the adults really so stupid they don't see the danger or is it just down to a lack of education ? I would like to see TV campaigns explaining and showing the dangers, just like they have done in the UK over the years. |
