The advent of the Internet has really brought some people out of the woodwork, what a wonderful world we live in with data being stolen at an ever increasing rate and our private bank details and family secrets being sold on the open market for anyone to read.

Hackers appear to have ease in entering any companies system, even the Pentagon have had problems. If I was the presiding judge on any of the cases brought to court, my sentence would be to lock them all up and throw the key away!!

These e-mails can be quite amusing sometimes, but then like junk mail, you think some people must fall for the scams or they wouldn't be doing it.

My big problem at the moment is that I have a winning Euromillions ticket that I am sitting on. Should I cash it today or wait until Saturday when I do the weekly shop, it's for 2 numbers giving me a life changing £2.90 (about the amount of petrol I'd use making a special journey). I may just save it for a rainy day, I could then buy an extra carrier bag to keep my hair dry as I run across the Tesco carpark.

Oh Tivo you are so funny but I am a little concerned that your are even considering cashing and spending your win. I could draw you up a few long term investments plans and double your money in say 10 years or perhaps we can set you up with a pension or top up your existing one This way you get an additional few pence a year spread over your life time - There is so much you can do with your win - So please don't be hasty and don't let anyone talk you into parting with it until you know all your options .

They used to come in the regular mail didn't they, the real surprise was some people did believe the unbelievable and actually sent money to "

I used to wonder if they only targeted people who had entered prize draws (and how they got the names) because how could you think you'd won a draw if you hadn't entered any? We were getting these other kind by post at least a decade ago (along with clairvoyants promising we had a big win due and prepared to reveal our winning numbers for a fee) so somebody must be falling for it or they wouldn't still do it if it had failed all this time!
