In bulgaria because of the extremes of climate, i find you need different types of quilts depending on the time of year. in summer i have the lightweight summer quilts, spring and autumn i have the heavier summer quilts. in winter i have down and feather high tog rated quilts.
the light weight quilts i can clean myself but the feather quilts must be dry cleaned. I have been refused at every dry cleaners, they just will not do them. i have been to the big hotels laundries and they wont do them. in fact, no one will do them.
You cannot wash feather and down quilts, the quilts are coated to protect you from the dust from the feathers and the feathers lose their oil if you wash them. :P1:
so as nice as they are in the winter, they have a short life as they need to be cleaned, but you cant clean them and they cost 150 levs a quilt, a rather expensive luxury, so if your in need of bedding in bulgaria, choose carefully.
