Bulgaria Interior Min Issues Premature Judgment on Gruesome Family Murder

Bulgarian police uncovered Saturday the murder of a 36-year-old lady and her 7-year-old son in the southeastern city of Kardzhali.

According to an opinion issued by Bulgaria's Minister of Interior Tsvetan Tsvetanov, the actual perpetrator is the older 17-year-old son of the woman.

"
At present it can be confirmed that the older son is the perpetrator, since there is enough evidence leading that way. It's a case of a terrible family drama,"
said Tsvetanov.

Bulgaria's Minister of Interior has the habit of commenting on the outcome of high-profile crime cases well ahead of the pronouncement of court decisions.

Regarding the Kardzhali murders, Tsvetanov declined to give further details until the full investigation is over.

It was the 17-year-old son of the lady who alerted authorities of the crime, by calling emergency medical service upon allegedly discovering his mother's body in the house.

The medics promptly informed the police, who turned up and found no evidence of forceful entry into the home. The dead body of the younger kid was discovered lying on the roof of the building. The father of the family was absent from the apartment, being at work at the time of the tragedy.

Chemistry Lesson Leads to Double Murder in Bulgaria

A scandal about a chemistry lesson has lead to Saturday's double murder in the Bulgarian city of Kardzhali.

The scandal has pushed the 17 year-old Deniz into killing his mother and smaller brother, according to his own testimony. But prior to the tragedy, the teenager has been extremely frustrated by the lack of care his family has shown to him, he has claimed.

The 17-year old boy has stated that he had ambitions to study in the prestigious Cambridge University, but his family used the money for other purposes.

The Bulgarian police uncovered Saturday the murder of the 36-year-old Nevdzhin Shevket and her 7-year-old son Yeniz in the southeastern city of Kardzhali. It was just Shevket's 17-year-old son Deniz who alerted authorities of the crime, by calling emergency medical service upon allegedly discovering his mother's body in the house.

The medics promptly informed the police, who turned up and found no evidence of forceful entry into the home. The dead body of the younger kid was discovered lying on the roof of the building. The father of the family was absent from the apartment, being at work at the time of the tragedy.

Bulgarian Double Murder Case Family: Minister Must Apologize

The relatives of the murdered Kardzhali woman gave a special press conference over their indignation with the Interior Minister premature judgment.
:Bulgaria Interior Min Issues Premature Judgment on Gruesome 1931734156:, relatives and co-workers of the woman who was recently murdered in the southern Bulgarian city of Kardzhali demand an apology from Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov.

They blame the Minister for stating who the killer was before even the start of the due process and for talking publicly about the live of the family involved and of the murdered woman as unfit mother.

36-year-old, Nevdzhin Shevket, a day care nurse, was found dead in her home Saturday. Several hours later, police discovered the body of her 7-year-old son on the roof of the apartment building where the family lived.

Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, announced that same day, the other son, Nevdzhin Dzhuneyt, 17, confessed murdering his mother and brother.

Tsvetanov said the reason for the murder has been long-lasting family drama and neglect of Dzhuneyt on the part of the mother, who strongly favored the younger boy.

"
They made my sister look like a monster,"
Shevket's brother Ekrem Mustafa said at a press conference.

The friends and the relatives asked to be interrogated, and demanded information about Dzhuneyt, saying they were kept in the dark and had no idea what was happening with the teenager.

"
He is a minor. Imagine 3-4men asking him if he had killed his mother. Maybe these confessions have been forced. He needs to have someone close with him and a psychologist. If this was Tsvetanov's child would he do the same?"
the upset family members say.

:Bulgaria Interior Min Issues Premature Judgment on Gruesome 1931734156: and relatives further requested to be told what was the motive for the murder;
where was Dzhuneyt the night before;
why he had confessed about the killings, but not about the murder weapon. (The murder weapon, a knife, has not yet been discovered.)

Ekrem said none of the people who knew the family believe a person in their right mind could commit such brutal act, and the perpetrator must have been on drugs, but added Dzhuneyt had never used drugs or alcohol.

The family has not yet told Shevket's mother and Dzhuneyt's grand-mother about the tragedy over worries how she would react. The father and husband has been sedated after falling apart upon hearing about the murders.

The close-ones condemned Tsvetanov's statements Shevket was favoring the younger brother and left the older one without attention, love or gifts, saying this was not true at all.

"
He had everything – brand label clothes, cosmetics, top-of-the-line video games and computers,"
the family said.
