Britain remains among the largest foreign investors in Bulgaria.

British Ambassador in Sofia Steve Williams said at a presentation on Wednesday in connection with the opening of a Sofia Office of the architectural service and urban design company Stephen George International.The Ambassador described the new office as yet another sign of the strong interest of British companies in cooperating with Bulgarian partners. The joint venture will not only be active in this country but will also serve as a centre for the Balkans
and Eastern Europe, he said. Alexander Daw, Co-Director of the Sofia Office of Stephen George International, said that Bulgaria has a lot to offer in
architectural terms: unique architectural heritage, space and diversity of the terrain and a climate which many countries could only dream of. He compared Bulgaria with a rough diamond which simply needs to be cut and polished. Daw has been working here for five years and is the mastermind of the idea for
Stephen George International to use Bulgaria as a base for its activity in Eastern Europe.
