Philately Balkan exhibition starts in Plovdiv today

130 stamp collectors from 14 countries take part in the Plovdiv-based International philately exhibition “Balkanphila”. It will present the most expensive Bulgarian stamp “The Inverted horse cavalry” – a curious sample in the world of philately issued in 1911. Its price is evaluated at EUR 25 thousand.

Bulcollect 2010 - first exhibition of its kind in Bulgaria and the Balkans, announced by the International Fair Plovdiv. Some valuable objects were bought before the opening of the forum, which lasts from 28 to 31 October in the International Fair Plovdiv. This is the latest event in its calendar, it collects individual collectors, companies accessories, auction houses, postal administrations and publishers.
Besides stamps, coins exhibitors show from late 19's and early 20 th century, badges, medals, postcards, posters, letters, books, antiques and many interesting objects. Here you can see dozens of unique vintage cars from the 60's and 70's of last century, and exhibition of models of emblematic Bulgarian churches and buildings.

Balkanfila is the oldest regional international philatelic exhibition in history, said Parvan Rusinov, Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, who opened the event. It is under the patronage of Minister Alexander Tsvetkov. His support gave the European Philatelic Federation, because we had courage in these difficult times to organize the event, said secretary general Boyan Brachich. He presented the flag of the Federation of MP Spas Panchev, who is chairman of the SBF.

Especially for the opening of Balkanfila 2010 were validated 2 postage editions - a series of four marks on "
