.Some of the first human inhabitants of Europe lived in the area of what is today the village of Dobrich, southeastern Bulgaria. The unique discovery was made by archeologists in the team of Associate Professor Boris Borissov. At the ground work for Maritsa highway a skeleton of a ten-fifteen-year-old child was discovered. The skeleton is about 8000 years-old, according to anthropologist Tsvetan Minkov who was in emergency summoned to the spot. The skeleton is one of the oldest ever found in Europe, specialists explained. They also commented that within a few days a decision must be taken as to how the skeleton would be preserved because bones turn to ash the moment they are touched.
