First topic message reminder :

After 6 days of hard work, 17 tons of hardcore and 9 cubic metres of ready mix cement our driveway and barn floor is finally finished....AND a bl**dy cat has run across it leaving a line of footprints!!

If anyone's interested in the cost of my drive it was:

Timber: 59.40 leva
17 tons hardcore: 233.00 leva (including a total of 60 leva for 2 deliveries)
14 x sheets of steel reinforcement: 256.40 leva (including 10 leva delivery)
4 x 1mtr length drains: 96.00 leva
9 cubic mtrs Ready mix cement: 855.00 leva (95 lev per cubic..free delivery)
Total: 1,499.80 leva plus labour.

That gave us 4 inches of hardcore and 4 inches of cement.

Just got to wait 1 month now before I can drive on it!

Golly gosh!! Borntolaze that was a good price we were quoted £4000 to do a drive and the front of the house probably double the size you have.

I went with the builder myself and paid for all the materials as and when we needed them, so I only paid what they actually cost.
I paid the builder and his mate a set amount per day and me and the missus worked with them everyday so as it didn't take any longer than necessary.

Thats a very good price I know others who have paid twice that and more, good job
