| I've been watching this live on the BBC website since 04.30 this morning (just too late to watch the first one out). Fantastic to see the jubilation. I have to say I was extremely surprised at how well they all looked considering what they've been through ... I can't imagine them wanting to stay in hospital for too long! 12 up to the surface already and number 13 just entering the capsule ... a brilliant job |

| The one thing us humans have is the will to survive and yes I suppose you could put this down to one of the wonders of the world it completely amazing that these miners have survived for so long and whats more amazing is that a country like Chile was able to do what they have done to save the miners |

| Amazing effort by all involved to achieve this rescue mission, especially as the first estimated outcome was Christmas?! Any nation in the world would have been proud of this success, so well done to you Chile. Let's all hope that they get them all out safely and that they and their families can enjoy their reconcilliation and their futures. |

| I can think of a few British politicians who could learn some lessons from the Chilean Mining Minister, who has been there from day 1 co-ordinating and assuring that resources are available and remained humble throughout. No Gordon Brown style " I saved the world"
he accepted responsibility and stepped up to it :Congtrats:The operation seems to be going well and I think these guys are going to be OK ! well done Chile |

| I think it would be pretty scary to be the last one down there I bet it was a long wait for that capsule to come down and the to have to strap himself in,thank you everyone who had a part in helping these guys, I take My off to the president who waited eagerly always with a smile to welcome each one to the surface :Congtrats:I beleive the entire crisis was a lesson in working together for the good of eachother, we can all learn from this! |

| Not a dry eye in our house watching all the miners coming up and lastly the 6 rescue workers. I can't begin to find words that adequately express this wonderful achievement and the faith that carried those miners through with the leadership of the shift boss. The role of the Chilean President cannot be sidelined either. He and his wife were an example to all country leaders of committment to the people they govern. To admit honestly to the Government's lack of safety standards in the smaller mines was an excellent example to other Presidents who manage to evade their personal responsibility. |
