BGN 400 million more for healthcare next year
BGN 400 million more has been planned for healthcare next year. A total of BGN 3,05 billion will be allocated for healthcare services, Bulgarian Healthcare Minister Dr. Stefan Konstantinov told journalists after the meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation.
The BGN 400 million is secured through health insurance instalments and taxes, the minister said and added the total sum for healthcare would be divided between the National Health Insurance Fund and Healthcare Ministry.
The minister noted the ministry needs about BGN 720 million next year so that it could finance the healthcare activities it is in charge of, such as psychic, emergency and intensive care. The minister specified that the agreement signed with the Bulgarian Medical Association envisaged BGN 2,6 billion for healthcare services and some BGN 370 million for the healthcare ministry.
