Not sure if this is the right place to put this but here goes
Just to let anyone in the Elhovo Area know that we have a quiz night in our place every two weeks on Thursdays next one is this Thursday 03rd March. Its fairly easy and free and the winning team (or person) gets a prize too. We are open from 6pm and the quiz starts about 8 ish. Would be nice to meet some new people. Thanks

Hi there yes we do as we are restaurant as well as a pub! we have a varied menu and additional weekly specials, and a whole range of different desserts! All food is cooked on the premises by myself, mostly traditional British food like fish and chips, steak pies, grills, pasta, but plenty of other dishes and also Bulgarian cuisine as we are not just an "
English"
pub.
On quiz nights we serve food up until 8.00pm.

Hi and thanks Yes I know I should but we dont have internet at the bar that works very well so I dont often get a chance to do much more than emails usually but I will make a big effort from now on. We are on Face Book too and I manage to keep that updated with the latest!!LOL

Hello, sorry for delay in reply been a bit hectic to say the least! I did indeed bake those sausage rolls!! We sell them and other bakes, the sausage rolls are 1 lev each and I cannot keep up with the demand!

we also do Sunday lunches!!! and special offer until April 10th 3 courses for 12 lev!!!!!This weeks choices are Lamb, Pork, Beef and Chicken, with all the trimmings and this week we have new potatoes too! (as well as roast) Desserts this week sticky toffee apple pudding or treacle tart with custard of course, we also have many other desserts.

Hi Carmen, well thats an idea, we have actually only been in Bulgaria (after 6 years in Turkey) since September 17th 2010 so 6 months and most of the time we have been working at/in/for the bar!!! Next week though could be the start of some interesting experiences as we have finally found a house we like and that ball should start rolling tomorrow! Will give it some thought

I did pop in and I purchased half a dozen of them sausage rolls as promised
I have to confess they were very nice and I ate them all within a few days.
It was good to meet you both
Sadly I didn't have time to pop back in the evening to sample the hot food on this visit, but the clan and I will be back in Bg in August to sample the food for sure.

After a few recent visits to Shirleys bar with the bar/cafe been shut on every visit and eventually a phone call to Alan just the other day whilst over in Bulgaria for August

Shirleys bar has been closed since May/June and is now up for sale.

Thanks Bagpuss for that info it will save our members wasting their time traveling etc. What a shame this closed, people had good things to say about the food. We all wish them all the best and hope they get set up again soon.
