| Hi All,
I think it's about time we started a comparison on wood and fuel etc! Earlier this year in our village via the mayor softwood was 30 lev for softwood and hardwood 38 lev a cubic to the door in log form(min 5m2-max10m2).I placed an order for hardwood that never materialized.Today I purchased real oak in the middle of a forest of the stuff for 53 leva/ sawn/choppped /m3 cubic hand loaded into my van and weighed by an independent weigh bridge away from site. The wood was the real deal for the winter which burns for hours!!! No running to the fire to add logs as we do with softwood!!! One tonne worked out as 1.6m2 stacked in a pile which cost 85 leva.Sounds expensive eh? We ll not really as logs reduce by 20 percent in volume as you cut them from long lengths then further when you split them. That's forgetting the fact that you may be scammed/scimmed in the first place! Remember it costs from 5/10 leva m2 to cut and chop even doing it yourself! Never leave full logs lying around as they won't season/burn right near to winter.... |

| Well done ABC on the reminder, I guess it is time to start thinking about how to keep warm and what the cost is, looks like the price may have increased considerably sarah |

| Earlier this year softwood was 30 lev a cube and hardwood 38 lev a cube via the mayors office in the village.Don't know if all villages do this. You can tell when it's on offer as all the BG'S start getting wood dumped outside their houses. When you see this get down the mayors office and get added to the list. |
