| oh my, i love spring, autumn and i even love the winters here, stock up and stay in, lovely. i am not one for heat, thats why we did not go to tenerife which my partner did want to at first, but too hot for me. The worry for holiday makers, is that a season that is only really two and a half months long will not provide enough income for bulgaria in holiday makers trade, too short and unsustainable, to lay almost dormant for 8/9 months of the year cannot be sustained in any country and the air fares are still not competative, rather expensive and expensive in the holiday resorts for ordinary things like light drinks and refreshments. our experience, my family found it cheaper to book a 2 week holiday at albena with bed and breakfast for 5 than come direct to us. three waters and 2 cokes cost 24 levs. not going in the right direction for continued bookings. other countries have much more to offer and cheaper. if bulgaria does not get its act together it is doomed really, thankfully this does not affect me personally, i live here and enjoy the beauty and tranquility that it does offer, but from a profit point of view its not got it. |
