PostSubject: PM,s   PM,s Icon_minitimeWed Apr 21, 2010 1:46 pm

I have just looked in my PM folder as i was told there was one there for me that i had not answered...and there was ,from 20 april
the point being ..it was not flagged up ,as on the old site ,with the PM button changed colour and flashing message "
new PM "

Is this a blip ..or do we have to alter something in our profile to recieve this service ..had a quick look but could not see anything
T .

Hi varnagirl

We've been working on this the last few days and yes, Houston, we had a problem! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

However, I believe that now you will receive an e-mail informing you of a new PM, and/or, the PM button will flash.

Will send you one now if you would be kind enough to let me know if either of those actually happen!

If not, we'll be back to 'solving the teething problems' once again!

Thanks
Chris

Hi varnagirl

Thanks for that, got your PM and an e-mail telling me you'd sent one.

However, when I got here, the PM button wasn't flashing ... but, like you, it did when I clicked on it!

I also just noticed that when I go to 'Profile' and click on 'Board preferences' and then 'Edit global settings' there is a preference for 'Notify me on new private messages' and also 'Pop up window on new private message' so I think it would be good if everyone set these to 'yes'?

Cheers
Chris

Hi Marlyn

Don't worry, you're not going mad! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

When you send a PM, it will remain in your 'Outbox' until such time the recipient has read it.

Once read, it will then be moved into your 'Sent Messages' box.
