Bulgaria's Veliko Tarnovo Rocked by Gas Blast, Seven Injured

Bulgaria's town of Veliko Tarnovo was rocked on Saturday evening by an explosion, and seven people have been taken to hospital for emergency treatment.

The blast has occurred in the town’s main street, and is reported as having been caused by a leaking gas tank.

The gas spread through the property, and was ignited by a lit grill, according to a local police official.

Bulgaria's Veliko Tarnovo Gas Blast Update: 8 Hospitalized

Eight people have been hospitalized in Saturday evening's gas explosion in the main street of Veliko Tarnovo.

A spokesperson from the local police headquarters has announced that three women and five men have been admitted to the emergency ward of the town’s hospital, according to the most recent media reports.

This is very shocking I hope they are all ok
