Saw a big old fella in one of my fields today catch himself the biggest frog I've ever seen here..it (the frog) must have been 18 inches long and Mr Stork threw it around for quite a while before he could swallow it. One of those times I wished I had the camera with me!

Didn't see our local stork here last night, he coudln't have stood on both legs in that wind, let alone one leg. No sign of him or her today either, will wait and see what happens.

Our storks nest is a hive of activity, one stork goes off in search for food and the remaining one is collecting wood to build up the nest. Last year there were three chicks, so a lot of weight for the nest to sustain when they are fully grown.

We have storks now, they arrived on the 19th which is the very same day that they came last year. A big shadow resembling a jumbo jet came across our field and then the undercarriage was lowered for landing on it's metre diameter nest. The next thing we noticed was that the stork had brought her own diary which she unclipped from her wing and with a handy biro gave a big tick on the page next to ETA!!
