Who needs an Estate Agent ? Empty

I find i do not need an estate agent here to tell me how much my property is worth, i know how much i originally purchased it for, then i put what i consider a reasonable profit on top of the asking price, i then imagine if i plonked the same house, say in, Sandbanks in Dorset , or St Georges hill Weybridge Surrey, then it would be worth say 10 million pounds, then i start the arduous task of deducting the following....Its not in Sand banks..Its not in Weybridge. It is after all in Bulgaria (but i must add a sort after area) its not quiet as well built as what you might find in Sandbanks or Weybridge & obviously not has clean & spruce.. still .none the less its a house built of bricks & mortar much like any other..

After several negatives (but a few positives) i have come up with the extraordinary figure of what my house in Bulgaria may actually be worth ? & like me you really wouldn't want to know..MJC

Exactly right if you bought a house in Bulgaria to make a profit then all i can say is fool, but if you bought a house to live in then bravo and you will never regret it the life here is fantasic, but alas not a place to make a fortune

you wont make no fortune here thats so true. many were fooled with the hype of eu entry and affordable housing and future prosperity, bulgaria is a developing country and much to learn. a real off putter is the airline fares rather expensive in summer and does not have the facilities that people want, so they wont return. the holiday resorts are so expensive even for a beer will see people holiday elsewhere. living here offers a tranquil and relaxed lifestyle which suits me for now, but i dont think bulgaria has the facilities that people want, they need to open the doors to the companies that are tried and tested and sucessful, but they are reluctant to do so, that sadly will be their downfall. thankfully this will not affect me.

At the end of my holiday in Bulgaria in September last year I stayed a couple of days in Sunny Beach. Have to say was pleasantly surprised in that the prices for almost everything were less than my stay the previous year!

Stayed in a very pleasant, small hotel not too far from the centre where the staff were pleasant & helpful (much cheaper than the hotel in Yambol I stayed in!).

At the time the hotel was full of British, Dutch & German tourists most of whom said they had really enjoyed their holiday and would be back. They also all remarked on how cheap it was compared to other European holiday seaside hotspots!

Really the only negative remarks I heard were from an Irish group who said the resort was great but just not busy enough for them!

I agree that flights this year are very expensive but don't think it is all doom & gloom for the Bulgarian coastal resorts.

Last season was the lowest prices I have seen for quite a few years in Sunny Beach, Large beer on the sea front 1lv. The resort was very busy but not with British but people from the old Eastern Block countries, also other parts of Europe with many people driving to the resort. Also flights have increased and some very good prices from European countries, sorry to say not Britain. Sunny Beach was always busy but not with British many years ago, so it seems to be going back to how it was. Not good news for people who bought on the presept on being able to rent out in the British market.
