Panic is beginning to set in!

I'm getting a bit stressed about finding our way around in our hire car when all the signs are in Cryllic!

I don't seem to be able to find a cryllic map online . Are they available at the airport? What time do the shops shut at Varna airport on a sunday?

Calm down Judy!

Most signs from the airport are in cyrillic and latin alphabets.

Let me know where you're heading and I can send you the town names if you wish.

Once you've got this down, you'll be able to read the signs ... honest!

This allows you to flick between English and Cyrillic, fine towns, plan routes, etc.

Very useful.

Might be worth checking a few of the place names in cyrillic and jot them down before you set off.

dont worry too much...we found our way round the country way back in 1991 with only a bulgarian map , it falls into place very quickly.... BUT , you should not have a problem ..,there should be a map in your hire car in both english and cyrillic....if not you will definitly get one the following day if airport shop is closed

Its easy. I call my wife satnag bless her. She cant read maps of anysort. So I have to drive and sort out where we are.

Just keep calm if you get stuck and ask for directions. Most people understand a little English. The tele here is mostly in sub-titles from the UK or USA. Mark on your map that you will get from the car hire place where you are going and the locals will show the way.

Try and avoid driving in the dark

Very few people around in Rural areas. Plus hard to avoid the pot holes

Kfc shut down last year! try the smell of mc donalds then keep driving past it.....When you come to a set of lights at the end of the road turn left for balchic and right for sunny beach/vlas.

Might be an idea to advise where your going as it maay be really simple to get to??

I'm a bit calmer now. If I smell a Mc Donalds I'll know to head in the opposite direction!!

I'm memorising the alphabet so hopefully that'll help!
