Eastern Bulgaria is facing another blizzard over the next few days, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology warns Saturday.

The forecast is for strong winds and heavy snow, which will create dangerous driving conditions.

It is already snowing in the Black Sea capital of Varna, but roads, including the “Hemus” highway, are open for traffic.

Wet roads are reported in the Plovdiv and Shumen Regions while there is heavy snow in the areas of the cities of Smolyan, Kuystendil and Vidin.

Driving is treacherous on I-8 (Е-80) – Kalotina – Sofia – Plovdiv – Svilengrad and on the “Trakiya” highway.

There is also dense fog in Eastern and Northern Bulgaria around Dobrich, Tervel, Berkovitsa and Pleven.

Its the last thing that I need at the moment, having only just managed to get out and check some apartments that we look after and you would not believe the damage we are finding in blocks. Luckly so far not any that we look after, but water running in blocks were people have not drained down. Problem being that we have not a cold winter like this for a while and people get complacent. Bring on the summer PPPPPPLLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSSEEEE

Don't sound to good for you guys already out there? when is the weather going to get better you seem to be having peeks and trofs at the moment

Had a freezing fog last night trees looked great this morning.
Been drizzle and rain all day here, (30 km from Dobrich) now turning to sleet, snow
Might have to be a slow dash to Dobrich, to stock up on few things tomorrow
